aaaaaaand...the saga continues.

good lord.

so, I just wanted to let you know that friends don't let friends do business with myrick peacock. or enemies, for that matter. jeez.

He called my realtor back and was like "I'm done with her! I'm not dealing with this anymore." Then the dude actually went and returned the fridge. I asked if I could use the money as a credit toward my own purchase of an un-damaged fridge. Apparently that's unreasonable. Riiight.

So to put this in order...
602 I meet Jamie to look at house colors. We leave around 640
655 I arrive at Brixx. While on my way I talk to Kristin and she tells me that Myrick is being a douchebag. We decide that maybe I could use that fridge as our beer fridge, or maybe switch the doors, or something. Kristin says she's going to talk to her boss. I eat with the girls. And have beer. thank goodness.
815 I've gotten two messages from Kristin--she and her boss left Myrick a nice message. I call Lowe's to speak to a manager and see what can be done. Myrick has, in this hour and change, already gone to Lowe's to make a return! I was PISSED.
940 After going to Walmart for more yellow and orange paint samples (we're now going with colors called Canary and Burning Orange instead of Saffron and Hot Sauce, I think) and getting even more Summer Shandy (which required checking behind the other beers!) we arrive at the house. In the last three hours Myrick has removed the welcome mat from the place. It was his, but COME ON.

I was so upset last night that I literally threw things. Some cans of coke that had tried to explode in my trunk. So I chucked them. I totally need to clean my car now. :) But it made me feel better. I seriously almost lost it about this, it was NOT good.

I talked to Kristin later last night while we decided on paint and drank beer, and she's calling the attorney today. It's not about the money--since I changed loan peeps I can now afford that $600 fridge with it making me freak out. But there's principle here. It seems like this will get tricky and I have no intention of taking him to small claims court but GEEZ. I'm okay with it if we have to let the fridge go, and I'm having a repair guy come to check out the old one, but SERIOUSLY this is out of control. OUT OF CONTROL.

also, we have a small painting conundrum. really, we have it all picked out, but there's the arrangement of our bedroom to figure out. if you look at the owner's bedroom in the virtual tour on the right here, we're thinking about arranging our room how it is there BUT maybe painting the wall with the windows the darkest color instead of painting the wall behind the headboard. Or, maybe we'll put the headboard on the wall with the windows. Not sure. Needing opinions. Fire away, please. :) The colors names are Blue Ivy (dark blue gray green), Ocean Fog (middle blue gray green) and Silver Lining (a very pale gray with a touch of bluegreen).

thanks!

Oh. My. God. I am going to kick him in the balls for you. If he comes to the house again, you need to get a restraining order. This man is out of control, and I fear for your safety!

HE is not dealing with YOU anymore?! WTF?! I would go to small claims court. I'd go to f'ing district court if I had to. You're right, it's the principle of the matter.

I agree...principle of the matter. But, you dont wanna have to deal with this in small claims court..trust me. You just want him to go away. You need a lawyer to draft a nasty letter to him threatening small claims court. That will do it justice. People fear us lawyer people. I'd do it but the whol jurisdiction thing would make me doing something on the verge of ethically wrong.. haha

I guess I just don't get it. He was the owner of the house, right? And he decided to sell it? And wants someone to buy it? So why is he acting like such a jerkface? That doesn't make any sense to me. He must have a lot of problems if he has to act this way. But you, on the other hand, are handling this with impeccable grace, maturity, and professionalism. I don't know how you're standing it, but carry on! (No pun intended.)
