not too shabby....

I won third place in Architecture with my picture of downtown New Orleans. The judge said it had good lines, it screamed "architecture" and he liked the little people in the background.

AND, Otto won third place in People with his picture of Jessica, Renee and me. The judge liked how it captured the moment, the emotion since we were laughing, and the intimacy since we had our hands so close together.

I am pleased at having won something!!!!!!!

I am not in total agreement with his choices--a picture of a puppy won best in show for crying out loud--but I see his logic and all. It was all about capturing the moment and getting the judge's attention.

AND, to place in my very first photography show?!? Not too shabby at all!
