roadtrip day 6

okay, kids, this one was a whirlwind...

woke up, talked to my granny, went to priscilla's to get bachelorette-ee prizes (and it was LAME. they had like three things that weren't all penises. seriously), picked up the drycleaning and went back to granny's to go to lunch with my cousins john, becki, kayleigh and abby. we ate some charlestons (and man oh man their baked potato soup is deelish) and it was great to see them. and they told us about pop's in okc!

we canceled on my friend karen (we were going to go see TU. matt still hasn't gotten anything resembling a tour of it) and went to the mall for more bachelorette goodies. we went by my mom's house to use the computer and see her, printed out some things (directions, the questions I asked mike, etc) and then to the bank, back to my mom's for something I forgot and then to my granny's.

I packed furiously (by this point there was no way I was getting to jessica by whatever time we agreed) while matt went to buy the liquor and champagne and then we went to the buchanan's home. It got kind of messy--as my family often does, God love 'em, they wanted to talk to me 'cause I was THERE. In PERSON. It is really difficult having to balance seeing them and things like, you know, being a bridesmaid! and, um, cleaning out a garage.

So anyway, Jessica and I finally got on the road, and as we drove to OKC we made the question cards and the boards and all for our dirty bingo. We're playing it at Nicole's bachelorette, and after we do I'll tell you what it is! while on this path jessica told me about oklahoma’s va-jay-jay. Crude, yes, but funny and situationally appropriate!

We arrived. We checked in. We decorated. We changed. AND we went to dinner. We had cranberry margaritas and I had mexican food for the third night in a row, oopsie! I tried flautas. They were good. Oh, and we saw Jesus on the wall, see?

Next we went to the bars. Renee told the interrupting starfish joke to a stranger, we had some beverages and we went back to the hotel. oh, and jessica got her heel stuck in the road, and we kept forgetting to push the walk button, it was kind of funny!

We came home and got the shirts that Sarah made for all of us. Aren't they cute?!? I mentioned to her that maybe they could have fortune cookies (it's a play on the "in bed" but if you want to know why you'll have to ask renee, and I don't promise she'll tell you!) but sarah totally ran with it and came up with a bunch of 'em and did an amazing, amazing job! We had the gift exchange, did the questions and played dirty bingo, and it was a HIT. We laughed SO MUCH. Seriously I'm amazed we didn't get asked to leave or be quiet or something. Though earlier in the night (before dinner) someone did ask if we were smoking in there.
