quick update from the road. I am certain I'll tell you all this in more detail soon--so consider this a teaser. :)

we're in lexington, ky. we got here around 130 am. did you know that holiday inn will cancel your room after midnight? yep. luckily I called ahead, but SERIOUSLY?!?? who the hell checks in after midnight and is "okay" with the fact that they had their room released? like, the room should be mine until checkout time. especially if I've already paid. grr.

anyway, fun day yesterday. left a little late, had an AMAZING milkshake at chick-fil-a with our friend Laura and went on our way. I have SO many pictures. Here's a handful. 200 from yesterday alone.

oh yeah--we saw the grave of Dr. Pepper--not the inventor, the namesake. and we had frostop root beer, a huntington WV specialty. AND saw the most amusing church sign ever. It's tacky that we though of that, but c'mon! we saw more and did more, but I'll tell you later.

also, matt is going to wear a suit to renee's wedding--potentially his birthday suit. my wonderful boyfriend left ALL his hanging clothes at home. oopsie. we'll buy him more, and better him than me (I had to look for my dress for quite some time) but it is TOO funny. and before we left I asked if he grabbed everything, and we even talked about how he needed a tie. silly, silly Matt.

more deets later. time to hit lexington, elizabethtown, go through indiana and get to st louis. PS: we tried, but no pics of ohio were to be had. can't cross that state off the list yet....

it was also QUITE fun to test out my new lens. I'm excited about taking more pics today. and SO glad I bought more memory cards. :)

oh and one more thing--we already have our next trip planned! after our lovely friends get married in delaware on June 22nd we'll be heading up north to get mass, vermont, maine and all the little ones in that corner. it was matt's suggestion. :)
