I thought the bionic woman didn't get sick...

or maybe I just hoped.

I'm sick today. I went to work because, well, I'd already exposed everyone to the virus and likely got it from work anyway, and I didn't want to take the PTO. I realize that this could be a bit inconsiderate, but this thing can last for up to 5 days and quite frankly, that would leave me with no time off left since I took six days for my surgery. so, yeah. went to work. For the record, I did go to the doctor and make sure it wasn't strep. now at home. tried to sleep, but no success. matt is on his way over with food.

in fifty hours or so I'll be in my very favorite city in my very favorite state-the big al's-having, sonic-on-every-corner, zios-and-mazzios-sporting, oil town from which I hail, t-u-l-s-a. I am already thinking about how much I love and miss that city and the people who live there, and how I don't intend to move back. It has a lot more appeal if you're visiting, methinks.

I have decided NOT to bring my fancy-schmance camera. I mean, I *want* to but I don't want to keep up with it. plus, I'm there for less than forty-eight hours and I don't think I'll get much picture-taking in that I couldn't manage with my trusty A630.

It's a family and friends trip, not a picture-taking trip. The last time I was there I attended a funeral, saw only one of my friends (jackie that lunch made my entire experience so much better you have no idea) and spent the last two days vomiting and getting sick. My mom and granny--though both in the house--were unable to help at all. They seriously had to slide the medicine across the bathroom floor to me because their immune systems were already fragile so they didn't want to get sick too. God, that was awful.

anyway. I don't intend to spend this time being ill all over the place, and even a sniffle wouldn't be bad in comparison. :)

I am excited to see my family, celebrate my mommie's birthday, spend time with my granny and see my friends. I don't even think I'll go to hobby lobby--for the first time since I moved away! I do plan on looking at purses at gordmans though. I'm *still* getting compliments on my twelve dollar red purse! I'm also getting my hair cut by my fave hair lady ever, having brunch with my granny, eating mazzio's, zio's and mexican food and blue bell icecream and sleeping! It has been almost six months, and that's just too long this time. I'm glad I'll be going soon!
