more thought than I drunk I was

okay, maybe not. but it was fun to write anyway.

I woke up this morning in a teeny panic (which does, in fact, exist) worried that I'd done something stupid last night. But thank goodness, it all seems good to go. Whew.

I am very hungry, and trying to resist the urge to eat that yummy-looking granny smith apple over there, because I want to save it for the plane ride.

also, here's a conundrum for discussion.

in a state in the US native americans give over a trillion dollars to the democratic party each year. in turn, they get to continue having a monopoly on casinos. technically, other people are losing out because they don't have the ability to make money from gambling. however, that trillion dollars may be going to good use.

it's a toughie.

To be completely honest, the injuns deserve any kind of economic advantage they can get. I don't think I need to elaborate on the many reasons why they are disadvantaged in the first place, but let's just say that Andrew Jackson's campaign of genocide against them gained him a spot on the 20$. Genocide to cash money. Clearly we can make some kind of analogy here. If I were a poet, I might.

that's the worst part. this VERY narrow-minded man called them injuns.

this, by the way, is the same guy who told me that I was at the SC Wastewater show primarily to pretty up the booth. Oh, and I knew some stuff too.

Some people...

Oh, oops. I forgot that I didn’t tell y’all. The narrow-minded man is this guy who attended our training who brought this up over lunch. I tried to be the devil’s advocate about it, and he made some snide comment about me being a democrat. Which, for the record, I’m not. Anyhow, he’s narrow-minded
