so, one of these three photos is in. just one. It would be the ferris wheel hands down, BUT, as Otto pointed out, there's a big light pole in the middle of it. Does that matter? Is Forsyth Park or Tulsa a better pic in light of that observation?
soooooo....yeah. help?!?
about judging--there's a professional judge coming in (awarding best in show and 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the five categories) and then there's a 1st, 2nd and 3rd for People's Choice. I'm turning these kids in tomorrow. thank you, thank you, thank you for your help.
I will admit that I NEVER noticed the pole until you pointed it out. I suppose I thought it was part of the ferris wheel! Hmmm. I do like the first one in the part a whole lot
ReplyDeleteyeah, I never noticed it until Otto pointed it out...
ReplyDeletebut since it's judged by, er, a judge, I think maybe I shouldn't include it. hmm.
I meant to say, "I like the first one in the parK a whole lot."
ReplyDeleteI suppose I'm having typing difficulties this morning!
I saw the pole before. It's not a good reason to exclude it. I do think that, compositionally, it's not as good as the skyline photo. I actually thought the pole was asymmetrical enough that people liked it *for* the pole.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see the pole either until you pointed it out. If Ferris Wheel doesn't go in, then my second choice is the skyline.
ReplyDeletei din't notice the pole either. I'm all about the ferris wheel. the colors real stand out.
ReplyDeleteHm...sky line. Pesky pole.
